Angry Birds New Baby Clothes

Posted on 06 February 2012

Consumers don't need facts to know that the Angry Birds phenomenon is still sweeping the nation. Whether it's in a crowded subway car, school cafeteria or other public place, people of all ages can be seen drawing their thumbs back to launch their favorite characters again and again. However, that said, the facts are certainly startling.

According to a 2011 study by Ask Your Target Market, an online market research provider, Americans spend 200 million minutes each day playing the game, meaning that if all this time was added up, players spend enough time playing the game to fill 16 years.

However, until now, those who have been looking for the perfect baby shower gift haven't been able to find officially commissioned products from Rovio, the developer of Angry Birds. But, this February, after a year of waiting for these cool baby gifts to hit the market, those looking to find the perfect may now have the tools to make their search less complicated due to the company's announcement that its clothing line would soon hit shelves.

The rights to newborn baby clothes and other essential baby items bearing the lovable likenesses of these critters went to a small Seattle, Washington-based company SwaddleDesigns last year after it submitted a proposal in late 2010 for a baby clothing line.

"The enthusiasm from retailers has been tremendous," Jeff Damir, one half of the company's founding partnership, told CNN. "It's an honor to be working for a brand whose fan base is so large."

Still, baby gifts with the Angry Birds brand may not be right for everyone. For example, those looking for baby girl gifts or baby boy gifts may want to turn to a customized gift basket bearing the likeness of other popular icons such as Dora the Explorer, Elmo or Mickey Mouse.
